I plugged the HMD into that and no problems. My temporary solution to this was to use a AmazonBasics 4 Port USB 3.0 Hub with 5V/2.5A power adapter I had laying around. Unplugged the External drive and everything worked fine. When I was getting errors I had an external dive plugged into one of the USB3 ports and the Odyssey plugged into the other. I am currently using a USC C Hub that connects to my two USB C ports on my left side. Kept telling me to try a new port or unplug and replug. I was having errors with WindowsMixedReality not detecting my HMD. Don't think this has anything to do with performance since resources get loaded to memory. and all from my MacBook Pro! I'll test out The Gallery and Skyrim later today.Īlso, I'm running all VR apps and video directly from an external drive. So far, this is performing better than my Vive/GTX1080. Didn't notice any lag, ghosting, traction loss, or visual stuttering. I tested out BeatSaber, Accounting+, Moss.

If you are always waiting for the next system, you'll never actually enjoy VR. I got tired of waiting on endless speculation for release dates. Today I will test out a more demanding game.įor me this purchase was just a placeholder till the quest comes out. I messed around with a few demos and experiences but then it got late. Super clear for 360 video and I don't notice any lag at all. I was a previous Vive owner with a GTX1080. After the initial set up (setting up room scale), it failed to load the home room and blue-screened windows. When first setting up the Odyssey+ it gave a warning saying that the Vega20 was not a supported graphics card but I just hit continue anyway.
